I know he’s an angelic looking baby, but I swear he is the devil incarnate. It’s gotten to the point that I just can’t take this anymore. I am tired of changing wet and poppy diapers and trying to get that baby to hush up so I can get some sleep. I think I’ve gotten the equivalent of maybe two hours of sleep last night, and what sleep I did get has been fitful.
I’d like to get back to my wood carving hobby to take my mind off things, but I’m afraid, with my patience waning and my nerves so raw, that I might use the carving knife as a weapon.
So please, sweetheart, I know you’ve only been gone for two days at your business conference, but I have a whole new respect for mothers and I need you to come home soon before I do something to our darling son or to myself that we’ll all regret.
Where are you? I wish you’d pick up. I hate leaving voicemail messages and I hope you get this before….
It’s been a while since I did a daily words prompt post, but I decided to give it a go tonight. Written for these daily prompts: Word of the Day Challenge (angelic), Ragtag Daily Prompt (wet), E.M.’s Random Word Prompt (hush), Your Daily Word Prompt (equivalent), Fandango’s One-Word Challenge (fitful), and My Vivid Blog (wood carving). Sorry, The Daily Spur, but I couldn’t figure out how to get “quotation” to easily fit into this.
Whoops! 😈

I guess that you could have ended this by saying, “and I hope you get this before….” I figure out how to use the word quotation in this post.

I wish I’d have thought of that.

Poor dad. It is tough to handle the baby on their own

Yes, I do too. Dads are seldom able to manage on their own. But the generation below us are doing better. My daughter got Covid at the beginning of this year and her husband took care of their 2.5 year old daughter all by himself. 💖

That does look like a tricky baby. I would take the pitchfork away for now. Thank you for jumping in!

Oh, I hope he didnât end up doing something to that baby! At least he has a whole new respect for moms, now, though. Xoxo
