It’s August 13, 2022. Welcome to Fandango’s One-Word Challenge (aka, FOWC). I will be posting each day’s word just after midnight Pacific Time (U.S.).
Today’s word is “lazy.”
Write a post using that word. It can be prose, poetry, fiction, non-fiction. It can be any length. It can be just a picture or a drawing if you want. No holds barred, so to speak.
Once you are done, tag your post with #FOWC and create a pingback to this post if you are on WordPress. Please check to confirm that your pingback is there. If not, please manually add your link in the comments.
And be sure to read the posts of other bloggers who respond to this prompt. Show them some love.
li remember lazy days of summer
slurping on mangoes and watermelons
swanning about in a sarong
swimming
watching the sunset on the beach
a time before the plague
a time before all the global disasters
so sad it has come to this
especially for the young’uns

Relieves their thinking load

I’m on vacation, the time to be lazy.
I’ll be in the pool ’cause the temps are just crazy.
The end.

What you’re saying
I very clearly see
On a very hot day
The pool is the place to be.
The end.

I like some of the other uses better (the positive light of summer and swimming [although I prefer active but leisurely swimming] and mangos), but I’ll go ahead with the negative connotation I had in mind. Twitter is lazy and negligent.

Just wait until that becomes commonplace in the U.S.

This did happen in the United States. The proper conviction of the Twitter worker. But I suppose you mean the torture. Or the location of the victim when he was abducted. I wonder how we can make Twitter accountable for not providing online security.
