Pull Up a Seat — This is Art?

I came across this challenge, Pull Up a Seat Photo Challenge, from XingfuMama, in which she asks us to “create a post with a photo of places one sits or might sit, or art about sitting, and maybe a little background or story about the spot or a picture of the view.”

The last time I participated in this prompt, I showed a photo I took at the de Young Fine Arts Museum in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park. This time I’m back at GGP with a photo of a bench behind the California Academy of Sciences.

This is a three person bench-like seat carved out of a log. The quarters that were cut from the log are placed in front of the seat as foot rests. It’s actually a surprisingly comfortable place to pull up seat.

Yeah, I like the three-seats-carved-out-of-a-log option.

I like this, it seems so in tune with its surroundings 😊
