He made his proclamation, declaring that the election was being stolen from him and the only way to prevent that from happening would be with a show of force.
The buoyant crowd at the rally went wild. But his credulous lemmings didn’t know or refused to believe that it was a big lie.
A lie that precipitated a violent chain reaction, which led to an unprecedented siege of the Capitol building.
The nation watched as a coup attempt was taking place in plain sight.
People watching the events unfolding live on TV, were fuming when he refused, despite lives being lost and serious injuries sustained, to truncate the chaos and violence.
One would think that swift action would be taken to prosecute the seditious individual, but here we are, nineteen months hence, and he goes on, free as a bird.
Continuing to spout the big lie
Continuing to stow discontent
Continuing to rile up his minions
Continuing to threaten violence
Should justice be served
Written for these daily prompts: E.M.’s Random Word Prompt (proclamation), Ragtag Daily Prompt (buoyant), Your Daily Word Prompt (credulous) Word of the Day Challenge (lie), The Daily Spur (chain), Jim Adams’ Thursday Inspiration (sight), My Vivid Blog (fuming), and Fandango’s One-Word Challenge (truncate).
Good use of the prompts, Fandango, I especially like the use of truncate. And, today, based on new lies, one of the lemmings who was at the Capitol Riot went and attacked some random FBI agents, today.

Some guy had been talking on Trump’s social media platform (egged on by Republicans) about needing to do something. He went to a nearby FBI office in Ohio (where he lives) with an AR15 and a nail gun and started shooting nails at the officials. The officers didn’t immediately gun him down but eventually, I guess, had to.

I swear I put a “d” at the end of “live” — I consciously thought about it at the time, lived, yes.

It sounds like the “raid” was for the protection of the world — they arrest criminals, don’t they?!

I think the fault lies not with Trump but with those who blindly believe in him and follow him without using their own brains, if they have any.

Yes, but somehow they allowed themselves to get brainwashed and Trump is the one doing the brainwashing.

So the fault lies with those people, because Trump is lying to them and they are swallowing those lies.

Hey? talking about ‘truncate’ Twitter truncated his account to zero. They only truncated mine to 280 characters. Moral – don’t upset Twitter…….

The key to an effective justice system is swift and certain accountability. If you don’t have that, it becomes a joke. Drumpf should have been locked up on January 7.
