It’s August 10, 2022. Welcome to Fandango’s One-Word Challenge (aka, FOWC). I will be posting each day’s word just after midnight Pacific Time (U.S.).
Today’s word is “ashes.”
Write a post using that word. It can be prose, poetry, fiction, non-fiction. It can be any length. It can be just a picture or a drawing if you want. No holds barred, so to speak.
Once you are done, tag your post with #FOWC and create a pingback to this post if you are on WordPress. Please check to confirm that your pingback is there. If not, please manually add your link in the comments.
And be sure to read the posts of other bloggers who respond to this prompt. Show them some love.
ashes to ashes
dust to dust
our inevitable end
has no escape
hope we all reach
a ripe old age
having lots of fun
along the way
poets are given a special place
with lots of pens
and plenty of space
if you have been very good
you get to write
and not chop wood

ODE TO ASHES
My favourite teddy
Fell in the fire
Turned into ashes
Now got one on hire
That was little Billy Fan………
I did shed a tear……
At least his mum has got a temporary one for him….(I didn’t know you could hire teddies. Did you?)
Thank goodness for mums Fan……

I would never hire a teddy …he could be covered in fleas because he has been sleeping in the kennel with the dogs. Bears can be tricky.

Not even for little one whose teddy has turned to ashes?….There are reputable hire companies now who de-flea them first….You will pay more for this service of course….
