The Assignment

We are mercenary soldiers. We have been hired to flush out our foreign client’s greatest enemy so that he can extradite him back to his country for trial — or maybe for execution. As surreal as it may sound, ours is not to reason why. Ours is to deliver the goods. And invariably we do. Which is why we are remunerated well for our efforts.

This won’t be a walk in the park. Our target is crazy smart and he’ll be anything but docile. So we have to be cagey, but this is our assignment and we will prevail.

These were some difficult words to meld together. Great job.

I’m finishing the new[ish] Batman movie right now. There is a bit of similarity in it to The Gray Man. Especially after having watched (the series) Pennyworth — Alfred isn’t a person who was like a male nanny.

I just watched that a few days ago, and while I wasn’t consciously thinking about it when I wrote this post, my subconscious mind may have contributed to the story.

It was a very violent movie but I still enjoyed it surprisingly. Perhaps because of its mindless action, very unlike real life issues.

They wanted to get across that he (in the movie) wasn’t well-remunerated, though. But these kind of guys are sure out there, too, and more common I think.
