FOWC with Fandango — Basically

FOWC

It’s July 18, 2022. Welcome to Fandango’s One-Word Challenge (aka, FOWC). I will be posting each day’s word just after midnight Pacific Time (U.S.).

Today’s word is “basically.”

Write a post using that word. It can be prose, poetry, fiction, non-fiction. It can be any length. It can be just a picture or a drawing if you want. No holds barred, so to speak.

Once you are done, tag your post with #FOWC and create a pingback to this post if you are on WordPress. Please check to confirm that your pingback is there. If not, please manually add your link in the comments.

And be sure to read the posts of other bloggers who respond to this prompt. Show them some love.

This journalist (guest} has made a name for himself. I wonder, basically, if he’s still personally investigating. Or is he running primarily on past experience?

Thank you for this. Took me back to the 60s… student parties in the inner west Sydney…Seems Pilger is stuck fast in the leftist rhetoric of the time although I am pleased to see he is no longer wearing a Che Guevara hat.( Squirm )

    basically
    humans
    are not a nice species
    left to our own devices
    without religion
    and thousands of years
    of imposed civilisation
the world would be even more
    of a dangerous place
    i know
    hard to imagine

I’m not sure I agree with your “without religion” aspect. I think religion can be pretty dangerous, particularly religious fanaticism.

Western civilisation is based on Christianity and the values are still enshrined in the rule of law.Any fanaticism is dangerous just like ignorance.
