Who Won The Week — 07/10/22

The idea behind Who Won the Week is to give you the opportunity to select who (or what) you think “won” this past week. Your selection can be anyone or anything — politicians, celebrities, athletes, authors, bloggers, your friends or family members, books, movies, TV shows, businesses, organizations, whatever.

I’m late today with my Who Won the Week post because, to be honest, I couldn’t think of anyone or anything that won the week. No one. Nothing. Nada. Maybe it’s just a mood I’m in, but it doesn’t seem like there much in the way of good news happening or anyone or anything to celebrate.

So I’m throwing it open to all of you. Let’s go folks, surely you can come up with someone or something who should be designated as this week’s winner. Give me some hope that something positive is going on in this world and for humanity.

So who (or what) do you think won the week?

If you want to participate, write your own post designating who you think won the week and why you think they deserve your nod. Then link back to this post and tag you post with FWWTW.

Those of us on Twitter who won’t be subjected to Musk’s ownership of the platform 🥳🥳🥳

Good point, although Twitter is apparently suing Musk for backing out, so this ain’t over yet!

After, what a week, of being banned for Minion “pornography” on Twitter, I hope it collapses. It is SO toxic! I am actually writing a post about what a great week it’s been, lol

I almost jumped back in this week with the story of some politicians behaving dodging to help User. I don’t know what was alleged – bribery or what – but it sounded like a good week to celebrate a free press. Story broke too late.

It was a pretty sad week for us here in the US when we were supposed to be celebrating our birthday of the nation. Maybe by next year we can behave at least civilized.

Russel Brand had an outstanding guest: Peter Sirota, award-winning journalist and writer and the founder of The Lever (Investigative News Site) and creator of the film Don’t Look Up and the eight-episode “deep-dive reporting project” podcast called Meltdown.
