What We Might Be Yet Again

He was never very presidential
In fact he acts more like a clown
But the Republicans give him a waver
Because he riles up the crowds
His ideas have the substance of a twig
And his mind is like a big black hole
Devoid of anything worthwhile
Unfortunately there is no prescription
Nothing medicinal to cure his ardent followers
And him of their delusions of power
But maybe he’ll ultimately just fade away
And the country can once again thrive
To imagine the lush, idyllic verdant hills
Under the brilliant azure skies
Reminding us of what we once were
And what me might yet again be
