FOWC with Fandango — Ambidextrous

FOWC

It’s July 5, 2022. Welcome to Fandango’s One-Word Challenge (aka, FOWC). I will be posting each day’s word just after midnight Pacific Time (U.S.).

Today’s word is “ambidextrous.”

Write a post using that word. It can be prose, poetry, fiction, non-fiction. It can be any length. It can be just a picture or a drawing if you want. No holds barred, so to speak.

Once you are done, tag your post with #FOWC and create a pingback to this post if you are on WordPress. Please check to confirm that your pingback is there. If not, please manually add your link in the comments.

And be sure to read the posts of other bloggers who respond to this prompt. Show them some love.

    we knew
the old nun who taught us
    was ambidextrous
    chalk in both hands
    writing on the blackboard
    what we didn’t know was
she had eyes in the back of her head

Whatever you feel about Roe v Wade… “content moderation” by Big Tech subsequent to the recent decision demonstrates that even if you support the idea of censorship now, your views will be targeted sooner or later. [Facebook has cooperated with China’s government as well, for example.]

This on a day when Biden lashes out at the Democrat populace:

… Kamala Harris Fails to Explain Dem Failure …

Kamala looked very uncomfortable, the other day, standing to Biden’s rear right (with someone on his rear left as well) while he made a public as well as visual statement because of the emergent situation on women’s access to health care. It appears too much is only rhetoric with no understanding. And I’d wager Biden doesn’t listen to Kamala. Meanwhile, it appears the status quo among political people is to make a big deal out of things that don’t matter so much to them — on “the” right within the activists (who will consider themselves exceptions and get abortions), on “the left” (which pretty much doesn’t exist with power in my sense of the meaning) within the leadership. I already knew, when I was a conservative, that Joe Biden was a conservative. But I wouldn’t have foreseen the lack of urgency overall in the party. Yet, this has been animating the conversation for decades.
