The Nest Egg

Some say that my constant drive to be thrifty makes me a bit kooky. But it has been a strategy that has literally paid off by enabling me to retire with enough of a nest egg that I don’t need to worry about how I’m going to pay for necessities like food, shelter, detergent, and clothing made from hemp.

Written for these daily prompts: The Daily Spur (constant), Fandango’s One-Word Challenge (thrifty), Ragtag Daily Prompt (kooky), E.M’s Random Word Prompt (strategy), My Vivid Blog (detergent), and Word of the Day Challenge (hemp)

This, of course, is flash fiction. I would never wear clothing made from hemp. Too rough on my tender, sensitive skin.
