Truthful Tuesday — Nap Time

Melanie, of Sparks from a Combustible Mind, is still filling in for Frank, aka PCGuy, who is taking a temporary hiatus from his Truthful Tuesday prompt. This week Melanie wants to know…

Naps. Do they refresh you or do you feel they slow you down?

I don’t take naps often. Perhaps, if I didn’t sleep well the night before, or if I’m not feeling well, I’ll take a nap in the afternoon. But other than that, once I’m up in the morning, I’m usually up until it’s time to go to bed at night.

I will confess to occasionally dozing off during the day while watching TV or reading a book, but those “naps” are (1) accidental and (2) very short. I only count naps as naps when I’ve made a conscious decision to take a nap.

So, to answer Melanie’s question, do naps refresh me or slow me down? They don’t slow me down because, most days, I have nowhere to go and I’m in no rush to get there. And on those occasions when I do take taps, yes, they do refresh me.

So, if the accidental naps don’t count I rarely nap then, but with fibro and chronic fatigue I do often succumb to unplanned naps… mine are often times not short though.

Well, I don’t count accidental naps, but you certainly can if you want to! 😉

    Naps are underrated Fandango.
Always remember Dad napping in his chair in front of TV, me changing the channel to something I wanted to watch, Dad waking saying “I was watching that!” 😂
