How about you? Why don’t you reach back into your own archives and highlight a post that you wrote on this very date in a previous year? You can repost your Friday Flashback post on your blog and pingback to this post. Or you can just write a comment below with a link to the post you selected.

But My Special Friends Call Me….
Ted took a large swallow from his drink and put the empty glass down onto the bar. “Okay, I’m ready.”
“Don’t worry, buddy, I’m your wingman. I got your back,” Randy said. The two of them walked over to where a very attractive older woman sat by herself at the bar nursing her cocktail.
Once next to the woman, Randy said to Ted in a stage whisper, “But you gotta give the guy a chance. He’s our president and he deserves our support and respect.”
“Respect is something you earn and he’s done nothing to earn my respect, much less my support,” Ted responded.
The woman looked over at the two men. “I’m sorry but I couldn’t help hearing your conversation.” Looking directly at Ted, she said, “You’re absolutely right. The man is a sleazy bastard and he doesn’t deserve anyone’s respect or support.”
Randy poked Ted in the back. Ted took a deep breath, swallowed hard, and said, “You got that right.” Then he put out his hand and said, “I’m Ted. Ted Andrews. And you are?”
The woman took Ted’s outreached hand in both of hers and squeezed it hard. “Nice to meet you Ted Andrews,” she said. And then, flashing a broad, somewhat wicked smile, she said, “I’m Stephanie. Stephanie Clifford. But my special friends call me Stormy.”
Written for today’s one-word prompt, “swallow.”
For those who don’t know who Stephanie Clifford is, she is known professionally as Stormy Daniels, an American pornographic film actress and director, and former stripper. Trump and his surrogates paid $130,000 in hush money to silence Daniels about an affair she had with Trump in 2006, while Trump’s wife was four months pregnant with his youngest son.
