SoCS — Life

Life is complicated. I compare it to composing a compound-complex sentence that contains components of both independent and dependent clauses and making that sentence comprehensible to those who read it. I’m not sure that I’m very competent when it comes to compiling posts with such sentences compared with other bloggers I follow. That’s why my posts are often short and compact.

Life also requires compromise, especially when you’re in the company of others, whether you’re sitting at your desk and using your computer or are communicating with others in the real world. It’s somewhat helpful to comply with certain social norms, but I find that when people can hide behind the anonymity afforded to them by social media, they seem almost compelled to complain and criticize in a manner that they would never do were they face-to-face with their companions. If you wanted to compile a comprehensive compendium of examples of what I’m talking about, just go to Twitter.

In case you haven’t figured it out yet, for today’s Stream of Consciousness Saturday prompt, Linda G. Hill has assigned us to find words that start with or contain “comp” and to use them in our posts. I think I have completed her challenge in this rather silly, rambling, stream of consciousness manner. And so now, my blogging compadres, I bid you adieu and in an uncompromising way, I wish you a pleasant, and hopefully, an uncomplicated Saturday.

🤣 You did an absolutely fabulous job coming up with all these “comp” words!

Your well-wishing carried me through an especially recreational latter day of reading for nothing but fun and chillin’ on non-consequential television, a few minutes here and there, until the evening. You always knock it out of the park with these streams of consciousness. Goodnight

I just complain to people to their face, it makes offending them so much quicker 😊
