It’s March 18, 2022. Welcome to Fandango’s One-Word Challenge (aka, FOWC). I will be posting each day’s word just after midnight Pacific Time (U.S.).
Today’s word is “hibernate.”
Write a post using that word. It can be prose, poetry, fiction, non-fiction. It can be any length. It can be just a picture or a drawing if you want. No holds barred, so to speak.
Once you are done, tag your post with #FOWC and create a pingback to this post if you are on WordPress. Please check to confirm that your pingback is there. If not, please manually add your link in the comments.
And be sure to read the posts of other bloggers who respond to this prompt. You will marvel at their creativity.

I think I’ll go ahead and share this, here, as hibernation occurs in caves and bats live in caves as well.
Vincent Racaniello: Viruses and Vaccines | Lex Fridman Podcast #216
Within the first hour, this guest expert conveys (near the end of that hour within three) that there has been a case of a disease bats gave to racehorses in Australia (when some bats come out of their caves and find themselves in barns or stables), which horses then had given the disease to humans who worked with the horses. The solution, in Australia, was to vaccinate all horses against the disease.
Another option would have been (and still could be) to vaccinate humans in the business against the disease instead of vaccinating or as well as vaccinating the horses. Officials or owners decided on using the vaccine on the horses instead of the humans, for at least a couple reasons (even though the vaccine would work in both humans and horses): 1) addressing the horses was sufficient; 2) the horses are very expensive (and they wouldn’t want to take a chance to lose any of them).
All this reminds me I have been told the new Batman movie is good to see. I’ll let you know.

At 10:18, the word “cave” is used.
So, here is an interesting take on where
Vlad is as of a few days ago: Putin calls for purge
of dissenting Russian civilians … and
undermines Foreign Minister
Sergey Lavrov’s
messaging [on] peace talks …
