FOWC with Fandango — Nasty

FOWC

It’s March 4, 2022. Welcome to Fandango’s One-Word Challenge (aka, FOWC). I will be posting each day’s word just after midnight Pacific Time (U.S.).

Today’s word is “nasty.”

Write a post using that word. It can be prose, poetry, fiction, non-fiction. It can be any length. It can be just a picture or a drawing if you want. No holds barred, so to speak.

Once you are done, tag your post with #FOWC and create a pingback to this post if you are on WordPress. Please check to confirm that your pingback is there. If not, please manually add your link in the comments.

And be sure to read the posts of other bloggers who respond to this prompt. You will marvel at their creativity.

Is Klaus Schwab the Most Dangerous Man in the World?

[Or, in other words, is he a nasty man with nicer faces out there?]

      I considered, when I posted this originally, commenting on the advertising at the end (after 13:30). I decided it wasn’t necessary because we see advertising where ever (almost wherever) we see news or social commentary. However, I will at least say this at this time; a couple things, actually. I don’t respond to any advertising on YouTube. It’s a bit better if the speaker of the content is the advertiser or one including the advertising in what they put together [while the commercials vetted (I would wish) by alphabet/google that come on before or that interrupt or follow up are often total scams], but I just prefer shopping separately from my learning or evaluating of reality. I extend this notion to not joining or supporting groups with ideologies that can be hijacked or be hidden in their original intent until I’m in too deep. Beyond the “couple things” now, I’ll add… people suggesting to you things that are alarming and that you need to consider aren’t necessarily the ones with any answers worth taking up as actionable. But they can still be presenting real information to think about seriously. {This presentation is somewhat cheesy, and I disagree slightly with an implication (but not reality) here or there, while it is a sharing of true things in mentally accessible form.}

I recently returned an XL coat.
I normally wear a M from the company.
I had order two sized up, due to reviewers saying
the style was sized more than a full size too small. The marketing
questions for reviews only ask about a half size and a full size,
but then they leave space to write a few sentences.
When I tried on the coat, I could get it on.
But it was too tight, and the neck
poked up at my chin. So…

Next time I went to to the
      site, they advertised pregnancy
clothing to me. I think the fact that Harari
was out of touch with himself or his adolescent feelings
is not a good reason to entrust Amazon or anyone else with them.

This inaugural Penguin Talk, October 12 of 2018, features … Yuval Noah Harari in conversation with comedian Russel Brand.

I like that Russel Brand points out the obsession with capitalism or exploitation and markets or marketing (which are both, and all, least so exploitation, actually different from what our indoctrination tells us). I also do think Yuval gets his point across here, as I wonder why he works for Klaus.
