Welcome once again to Fandango’s Provocative Question. Each week I will pose what I think is a provocative question for your consideration.
By provocative, I don’t mean a question that will cause annoyance or anger. Nor do I mean a question intended to arouse sexual desire or interest.
What I do mean is a question that is likely to get you to think, to be creative, and to provoke a response. Hopefully a positive response.
I have a vague memory of my father sitting me down and saying, “Son, I want you to remember that there are only three things in life that truly matter.” Unfortunately, while I remember him making that statement, I can’t for the life of me remember what he said those three things were.
So I thought it might be interesting to pose this question to all of you this week.
If there are only three things in life that truly matter, what do you think they are and why did you choose those three?
If you choose to participate, write a post with your response to the question. Once you are done, tag your post with #FPQ and create a pingback to this post if you are on WordPress. Or you can simply include a link to your post in the comments. But remember to check to confirm that your pingback or your link shows up in the comments.

Besides I wanted to say I’d be fascinated to read what YOUR own three are, Mr. Fandango. Maybe a short post to that end?

I agree with you – I came here not just to read others’ answers, but Fandango’s himself. So, Fandango, what d’you say?

Well said, Melanie. Faith is a core value to me too, I agree with all of that and enjoyed your G/god (Medusa and our caricatures) cartoons.

Just to play along, I’ll say family and love; basic honestly in living in and looking at the world; and, fundamentally, nature (to the extent we add technology, we need to respect the natural environment we were given).

Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness? Oh, wait, that’s supposed to be AMERICA. I’ll have to ponder this on a more personal level.

Marla,
Although I can’t figure out how to post at your site, that’s was wonderful to read.
[I did figure out I could post at Amoralegria’s and Marilyn’s sites.]
