It’s Monday and Melanie is out with another edition of Share Your World.
Who do you think is an example of a successful person?
Well, there are a lot of celebrities who are successful and a lot of business people who are successful and one or two politicians who are successful, but personally I think anyone who is living the life he or she has chosen and who is happy with who they are is successful.
Why are you doing what you’re currently doing?
Because I’m lying in bed, trying to cope with a very bad cold. I’m going through my WordPress reader and responding to prompts like this one. But what I should be doing is closing my eyes and trying to sleep.
What is your personal theme song?
It depends how I feel, but feeling the way feel at the moment, it’s this:
What do you think about tofu?
I don’t really think about tofu much at all.
Where did you find bliss this past week?
Sadly, I’m not finding much to be blissful about these days.
Feel better soon!

The reason I’m currently doing what I’m doing is to procrastinate something else I need to do today. I’m rationalizing that I can do this while I have coffee after having eaten lunch.
I have noticed that I have a few candidates for my theme song: Like a Stone, Schism, and, really, I could go on with a few more. Wake Up (spreading the message), by rage against the machine:

I got the procrastinated thing done, yesterday… after posting while having coffee.

I’m not even sure what bliss IS and I’m not sure — not including drug related experiences — I would recognize it if it banged me on the head. Put down the phone. Sleep.

I like tofu. It’s a fantastic source of satisfying protein and works very well in well-seasoned dishes.

Thanks Fandango for Sharing Your World. Especially when you’re sick in bed. Mentholatum ™ is a great home remedy for wicked colds and for the flu too, and it’s not expensive. A little pot of the stuff can last years. Rub some on your chest, under your nose, and on the soles of your feet (and put on toasty socks) and it’ll drive most congestion and nastiness of that sort right out. Keep some tissues close to hand though. It clears the head like nothing else I’ve found. I hope you feel much better very soon. 😦 I’ve had my ‘requisite” winter cold already and that better be the end of that stuff. I hope it’s the same in your case. Now tsk tsk. Your bliss? Grandkiddies. Sometimes we have to look to find that stuff, yours is within a few miles I believe? But I get it. With the gomboo (whatever sort it is) and feeling overall pretty low, it’s impossible to see things like contentment or bliss. Your first answer was great btw, but they were all good! Have a better week!
