FOWC with Fandango — Meek

FOWCWelcome to August 13, 2021 and to Fandango’s One-Word Challenge (aka, FOWC). It’s designed to fill the void after WordPress bailed on its daily one-word prompt.

I will be posting each day’s word just after midnight Pacific Time (US).

Today’s word is “meek.”

Write a post using that word. It can be prose, poetry, fiction, non-fiction. It can be any length. It can be just a picture or a drawing if you want. No holds barred, so to speak.

Once you are done, tag your post with #FOWC and create a pingback to this post if you are on WordPress. Please check to confirm that your pingback is there. If not, please manually add your link in the comments.

And be sure to read the posts of other bloggers who respond to this prompt. You will marvel at their creativity.

I’m not a fan of this sound (which doesn’t mean I don’t like any rap), but this rapper is what I thought when I saw the word:

Meek Mill … Flows (Official …)

He was in the news because of being jailed for popping a wheely. Not quite as bad as the lady who got put back in prison due to not knowing she wasn’t allowed to vote (even though she was a citizen) after doing her time. She didn’t even actually vote; she was instructed to fill out a provisional ballot (which never got counted).

Thank you for those whose works would never have come to my attention otherwise. He’s very very talented and I hope he continues to preach it in this real and true poetic way. It’s taken my 56 year old ears to open wide enough to hear.
