He, with his long, silvery hair
His glib ways and sophisticated air
I thought of him as my advocate
Yet he made her think of me as inadequate
All the while pretending to be my friend
I failed to comprehend
I missed the signal,
I didn’t see the sign
That toward me he bore only malice
And that he was my number one nemesis

Too bad he’s a jerk and a backstabber. He’s good looking 😆

I dislike him on sight … he has that look of arrogance in his eyes. Beware the one with a lecherous grin and snake eyes! (Good poem, by the way)

Thanks. I actually tried to use rhyme in this one, rather than free form.

I thought he looked rather gorgeous but then beauty is only skin deep.
I’m glad you joined our challenge, thank you.
