
Word of the company’s decision to downsize began to trickle down and a sense of fear and insecurity began to permeate throughout the group of employees.
A few of them met with a representative of a union at a table in the cafeteria. He reviewed the nomenclature of the collective bargaining agreement with the employees who were eager to avail themselves of whatever options the union might offer that would enable them to keep their jobs.
