Weekend Writing Prompt — Wayward Days

Back in my wayward days
I wanted to mend my wayward ways

Though the odds against me were stacked
There was no way I’d allow myself be gobsmacked

Sure, I was a guy who was rough and tough
And from no one would I take any guff

They said my behavior was mercurial
But my mentor gave me a tutorial

He taught me to rebel against my wayward haze
And to make others joyful in my later days

Nicely done Fandango. You’re poetry is getting better day by day. I’m glad you’re experimenting

Thanks. I am not sure I’d call what I write poetry, although this time at least I did use some words that rhymed.

You’re welcome! My poems never rhyme but I still think they are poems. I even used the poetry block! Yay!
