For this week’s Stream of Consciousness Saturday prompt from Linda G. Hill, we are instructed to find a word with the “oop” sound in it and use it in your post.
Alrighty then. I’m going to be a real trooper and give you a scoop on a story about one of my neighbors who had a habit of letting his dog Snoopy poop on the stoop in front of my house. Now you might say to yourself, “Hey Fandango, just grab a poop bag, go out to the stoop, and use the poop bag to scoop up the poop.”
Well what kind of nincompoop do you think I am? You must be loopy if you think I’m going to jump through hoops to clean up Snoopy’s poop from my stoop.
But to keep you in the loop, yesterday I saw my neighbor walking Snoopy when they stopped at my stoop and Snoopy started to poop, so I swooped out to the stoop and handed my neighbor a box of poop bags and asked him to be cooperative and use these bags to pick up Snoopy’s poop from my stoop.
He said, “Whoops, you’re right, I should pick up Snoopy’s poop from your stoop and I appreciate you giving me these poop bags to do so. I’m happy to cooperate and I’m sorry about my blooper for letting my dog Snoopy poop on your stoop.
My neighbor and I shook hands. “No big whoop,” I said. “And I hope you and Snoopy have a pleasant day.”
