I finished! It took about a day and a half — well, about six hours of actual work spread over a day and a half — to complete all of the forms and to electronically file my federal and state tax returns. And then, about an hour ago I got text messages from TurboTax notifying me that my returns were accepted by the IRS and the state tax board. Yay!
And best of all, I’m getting refunds on both my federal and state taxes. Woo hoo!
I can barely wait until next year to do it all again. Right?
when, of course, you will keep the totals month by month to avoid that end-of-year crunchtime. Oh, yeah, been there buddy! Never managed that even once.

I always freak out when I see your lot do your taxes, but then I remember “Oh different hemispheres” lol

A far far braver man than I. We took ours to the AARP. Only problem is that they have so few people working this year, it’s taking a lot longer than usual. But at least i don’t have to do them. I’m REALLY bad at taxes!

I’ve been using TurboTax for years and, while it’s tedious, it’s a decent piece of software and it gets the job done. And I have yet to be audited!

Great job and lucky you, getting refunds! We did too, and they were dd’d into our checking account about 6 days after I e-filed!
