Three Line Tales — The Wanderer

“We found her walking along a country road wearing a green evening gown but no shoes and she seemed to be quite confused,” the police officer said. “Although she didn’t have any serious physical injuries, as a precaution we brought her here to the hospital for observation, and then we called you.”

“My wife suffers from early onset Alzheimer’s, officer,” Thomas said shaking the policeman’s hand and thanking him, “and while I try to look after her as best I can, she occasionally manages to get out of the house on her own and wanders off by herself.”

Nicely written Fandango. It reflects the strain the husband is going through

A powerful little tale. Alzheimer’s is the saddest of all ailments. Nicely written, Fandango.
