A Month of Love #26

Paula Light says, “Let’s celebrate the month of lurve (aka love) by posting one thing we love every day throughout February.

Now the truth is that I’m not really a romantic guy, so I might be hard pressed to come up with 28 objects of love, but I think I should be able to come up with 28 things I like a lot.

I was sitting at my kitchen table trying to think about what to post for Paula’s prompt today when I saw that one of the images from her own Month of Love post today was two bags of Dunkin’ Donuts coffee. When I lived back east, Dunkin’ Donuts stores were everywhere. I used to love coffee from Dunkin’ Donuts, but I always thought their doughnuts were too cakey. And then I remembered that there’s a Krispy Kreme doughnut shop two towns away from me.

Krispy Kreme doughnuts are light and airy. Eating one is like biting into a sweet, delicious, glazed cloud. So I hopped in my car, drove to the Krispy Kreme shop and bought a half a dozen glazed doughnuts. I love Krispy Kreme!

      I don’t have diabetes either, but you are right – they are pure sugar. Not worth the calories, IMO!

    Your month of loves has been interesting. I wish I had focused more on the small things. I don’t agree about KK though – I prefer cake doughnuts. Actually, fortunately doughnuts are something I have pretty much given up altogether.. But put a brownie in front of me and forget about sharing!!

      I only get doughnuts as a rare treat anymore. My daily treat is some Ben & Jerry’s Stephen Colbert’s Americone Dream ice cream after dinner.

    Growing up there used to be a local bakery that made potato cake donuts… I have fond memories of those.
