FOWC with Fandango — Operation

FOWCWelcome to January 11, 2021 and to Fandango’s One-Word Challenge (aka, FOWC). It’s designed to fill the void after WordPress bailed on its daily one-word prompt.

I will be posting each day’s word just after midnight Pacific Time (US).

Today’s word is “operation.”

Write a post using that word. It can be prose, poetry, fiction, non-fiction. It can be any length. It can be just a picture or a drawing if you want. No holds barred, so to speak.

Once you are done, tag your post with #FOWC and create a pingback to this post if you are on WordPress. Please check to confirm that your pingback is there. If not, please manually add your link in the comments.

And be sure to read the posts of other bloggers who respond to this prompt. You will marvel at their creativity.

Right up until 31st October 2016, other than a tooth extraction, I had never had an operation in my life. Three years later, almost to the day (28th October) I had another. Hope I won’t be down for a third in 2022.

Operation mind tricks: people have been talking about “Soho Karen” saying of herself, in her on-camera interview, that she’s a nice person. How would you feel if you were without a phone that day, she asked. And I think I heard her say, “Enough.” She waved her hand at the interviewer and didn’t want to acknowledge she deserves criticism for attacking an innocent person (and she tried to deflect to thr dad having protected his son from her). She, like so many other people, either feel entitled or know their tactics just might work. Are the Republicans who enabled Trump Karens, too? Anyway, they want to attack and then pull the wool over your eyes.

Sheesh. Better take a break from posting right now. I didn’t get my attempt at a note of correction connected. It’s below.

Yeah, I wasn’t finished with that… then accidentally knocked a character off my email address and (likewise accidentally) hit “POST COMMENT” — but you get the idea. Many right-wingers have been enabling abusive and violent and arrogant people for a long time.

She and so many other people either feel entitled or know their tactics just might work. Have worked. Why shouldn’t the tactics work now?
