One-Liner Wednesday — Throwing in the Towel

“There comes a time when you have to realize that, despite your best efforts, you’ve been unsuccessful.”

Texas Republican Senator John Cornyn

As Donald Trump still desperately battles to attempt to overturn his presidential election loss to Joe Biden and to stay in power, even some of his staunches GOP allies are admitting that it’s time for Trump to throw in the towel and accept his defeat.

Of course, he’s Donald Trump, so he won’t.

Trump’s behavior is that of a petulant child, refusing to give up the tantrum. He will be tweeting about voter fraud even after he’s out of office.

I kind of like the idea of him leaving for Christmas and never coming back to the White House. No need to attend the inauguration of Biden, either.

I agree with Marilyn. Any day when Trump is no longer in the news will be my new favorite day.

Maybe it would be ok to see him a couple more times… at his sentencing and escorted to jail. Or didn’t he say something about leaving the country, I would watch the plane fade away into the distance.
