Weekend Writing Prompt

“I’m feeling quite jovial today,” Carl said, taking a drag from his cigarette. “I want to write the great American novel. I want to share my genius with the literary world and to be an author people lionize. Come help me brainstorm some plot ideas.”

“Good luck with that,” his skeptical wife said.

“Why do you always have to niggle at my dreams?” Carl dejectedly asked.
