I think he’ll walk so as to avoid the humiliation of doing dragged away. He supposedly wants to run again in 2024.

He can. But I hope he won’t be up to it. [An odd speculation, additionally, is that Trump might step down in the waning hours so Pence can pardon him (as President for a few days). {Pardoning doesn’t exempt anyone from state or civil charges, however.} Then, Pence would only be able to run to serve for one term, if he were ever going to be able to win the position of President.)

I don’t know who pence is sorry. I was under the impression you can only be president once for one or two terms and once thats done you’re done. Shows how info differs in different countries. Thanks for the info Marleen.

Pence is currently the Vice President; if Trump resigned for a couple days or couple weeks before the scheduled inauguration of Biden, the (now) Vice President would become the President (until the inauguration of Biden). He, Pence, theoretically then, could pardon Donald Trump (if Trump doesn’t simply test out the pardoning of himself and not go through such a rigamorole).

Presidents are limited to no more than two full terms. Ford (who took over after Nixon resigned) could run for one more term but only one (since he had already served a partial term). He didn’t win anyway, so it didn’t matter. The two up-to-four-year periods of time that a person can serve don’t have to be consecutive.

This was before the law limiting a person to being President for two four-year terms, or less time. But the potential of there being an interuption (or whatever we would want to call it) between two terms remains now.

You can serve up to two terms of four years each, but they don’t rave to be consecutive. Mike Pence is Trump’s vice president.

Ahh, that’s slightly more normal lol. I wonder why I haven’t come across him. I see Trump everywhere you’d think he’d been in those articles a lot too. Perhaps he is and I just don’t notice.

Trump doesn’t leave much room in the limelight for others. He always wants and needs to be the focus of attention. Pence is just another Trump ass-kisser.

Sorry Hon. But there are things that you just can’t stop recurring. Smelly feet, holes in socks, a recurring rash….annual sinus colds. Unless you can find the perfect Anti-Virus control you have live with it. 😐

Until I heard — for certain — that SOC rejected (again) his lawsuit, I was okay, but twitchy. NOW I feel better.
