MLMM — The Italian Stallion

Dominic bowed his head to hide his face. He saw them all looking at him with disdain. He knew that his coworkers had heard about his affair with the boss, Darlene. The scuttlebutt that was going around the office was that the only way he could have gotten his last promotion was by screwing her and it made him feel like such a turkey.

It was Friday, which was the day that he and his coworkers traditionally went out together for lunch. But on this Friday, given all that was going on, Dominic demurred. They all seemed to lack any compassion toward him, even though he knew some secrets about them that could be damaging to their own personal lives. He thought it was kind of paradoxical that they would shun him for having slept with the boss when many of them had cheated on their own spouses with each other. What a bunch of fucking hypocrites they are, he thought.

While all of his alleged friends at the office were off enjoying their Friday lunch, Dominic walked boldly into Darlene’s office and announced that he was quitting. “I can’t continue working here,” he said. “They all know about us, so I need to find a different job. It’s time for me to find some new beginnings for my life.”

Darlene looked up at Dominic, who was standing in front of her desk. “Well, given the delicate situation, Dom,” she said, “I was going to have to let you go, so I do accept your resignation.”

Suddenly Darlene stood up, walked around her desk to where Dominic was standing, threw her arms around his neck, and presses her body tightly up against his. “I hope these new beginnings you’re talking about still include me, you hunky Italian Stallion.”

Wow, you really put a lot into that story! Too bad, now he can’t collect unemployment, but maybe Darlene can be a good girl and help him find a new job!

Not sure if you realize that “Italian Stallion” was the name used by Sylvester Stallone when he made porn movies. That was long before he became the star of franchises like “Rocky” and “Rambo.”

Actually, I didn’t know that Stallone did porn before “Rocky” and “Rambo,” but I had heard him referred to as the Italian Stallion and it seemed to fit with my story.

By the way, for reasons unknown, your comment went directly to my trash folder. Not even spam, but right to trash. Normally I just bulk delete everything in my trash folder, but tonight there we only five comments there so I manually deleted each one. That’s how I managed to catch yours and pull it out of trash to approve it.

I, just a couple or so minutes ago, posted another response under this topic and quoted from Snopes wherein was the word p**n unredacted (I tend to forget when I am using a quotation or the word is within the character string for a link). Hence, it may be in your trash (no doubt as I don’t see it).

Yes, it did go to my trash folder as I have a setting so that the word “porn” in any comment sends it to trash automatically. But I was able to catch it and manually approve it.

      🤦🏼‍♀️

I, too, didn’t know that Stallone ever did p**n. Ew.

Ew too, he then worked for Woody Allen.

But, aside from that, fact check time…

        From Snopes:

Sylvester Stallone did indeed get his first movie acting role in a porn movie, called Party at Kitty and Stud’s. This movie came out in 1970…

        AND

Whoever owned the rights to Party at Kitty and Stud’s capitalized on Stallone’s new-found fame by re-releasing it under the title The Italian Stallion (presumably a reference to the protagonist’s nickname in Rocky). The credits show that the rights to this X film are owned by “Stallion Enterprises,” so they took this theme all the way.

Party at Kitty and Stud’s/The Italian Stallion started life as a genuine pornographic X film, though it has been brutally edited down — probably at the time it was retitled and re-released.

An article from Rolling Stone characterizes some matters (matters which I didn’t quote from Snopes) rather differently. Such as: The legend of the movie has grown over the years – many have become convinced that it’s a hardcore sex film …

… p^+*#•~!=*y was really a fringe … [then], confined largely to underground 8mm films. The people behind Party at Kitty and Stud’s [same title as at Snopes] could have never gotten any sort of distribution with a legit hardcore movie, so they created a film about a bickering young couple that throws a light S&M party. No scene is remotely erotic, especially when the characters are having sex.

Stallone hated the script and initially wanted nothing to do with it…

The movie came and went from theaters in the blink of an eye and was widely forgotten until Stallone became one of the biggest stars on the planet. The fine folks behind The Party at Kitty and Stud’s thought they had a goldmine on their hands, so they re-released the movie as Italian Stallion, which was Rocky’s nickname. [That sentence right there is pretty much along the same lines as at Snopes, although Snopes didn’t call them “fine” people.] It still failed to find much … audience, and over the years it has surfaced again and again – sometimes with inserted hardcore sex scenes featuring actors that appear to be Stallone.

Entertaining though I can not imagine any boss I worked under talking to me in such a fashion as this boss did. maybe I just never measured up to ‘Italian Stallion’ standards.
