Do you remember when Rudy Giuliani, pictured above, was the highly respected mayor of New York City after 9-11? That tragic event thrust him into the national spotlight and he was even referred to at the time as “America’s Mayor.” Well, Giuliani is back in the spotlight, only this time he’s serving as Donald Trump’s personal attorney in federal court. And he’s making a fool of himself.
Giuliani, who has not argued a case in federal court since 1992, is accusing Democrats in control of big cities with large minority populations, like Philadelphia and Detroit, of hatching a nationwide conspiracy to steal the presidential election from Donald Trump. He is claiming that there is “widespread voter fraud” and that, in addition to Philadelphia, it has occurred in at least ten other jurisdiction around the country. Note that no such evidence of widespread voter fraud has emerged in the two weeks since Election Day.
The objective of Giuliani’s efforts on behalf of the Sore Loser-in-Chief, is to prevent state officials from certifying the vote results. Trump and his lawyers are hoping to reverse the outcome of the elections in key states, like Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan, and Wisconsin. Just today, Trump’s campaign announced that it will be seeking a partial recount in two highly Democratic counties — Milwaukee and Dane — in Wisconsin.
The Trump campaign and its lawyers are continuing to try to discredit the results of the election, even though it is clear that Trump lost. But legal experts say that there is little chance of that happening in those targeted states, much less being able to overturn the overall election results. In fact, experts from both political parties have publicly stated that the election went well and even international observers agree that were no serious election irregularities.
It is truly amazing how far people like Rudy Giuliani and, for that matter, most of those who have attached themselves to Donald Trump, have fallen. And it’s pathetic that Donald Trump cannot accept the irrefutable truth that he lost the election and would rather sow chaos and trauma upon the American people than graciously accept his defeat.
But then again, when has Donald Trump ever been gracious?

By the way, one story yesterday was that in court Rudi is more aware of what a lie is. Because he could be disbarred at the least. He spoke a bunch of gobbledygook that sounded like there was fraud in the election process. Then, when asked a direct question by the judge, he said the case he was present for was not a “fraud case.” Yet he went on to spew the same 🤢 vomit 🤮 in conservative media anyway.

I found an article that conveyed Giuliani’s continuation in misleading to the public as if fraud and conspiracy were real, even after he had indicated in court that the fraud was not real. The article was at a site recommending going to “parler” and including a link to it — some online place I first learned about in the context of the extremist [racism and anti-Semitism with violence] Proud Boys. So, I’m not sharing a link to that article.

I suppose we can imagine that the former Mayor Giuliani had made a better name for himself around 2001 and after. Why mess it up? But perhaps he’s just messed up. And maybe “someone” even has “something” (worse than this distasteful behavior) “on” him.
I’ve shared an article before (from way back) that had something to do with Rudi and [p..n/a word Fandango blocks on this site], but I have a somewhat different subject (although likely tied-in… Donald, contrary to the belief of some Q percentage of our nation, isn’t coming to the rescue) today.
Remember when Candidate Donald Trump (2015/2016) was revealed to have said to Billy Bush that he took a man’s wife to see where there was “some good furniture” or “furniture shopping” and “moved on her” (and “failed” though he moved “heavily” on her) and that he can “grab” women by the pussy (his word of choice)? He said he saw that particular woman at a later time, and she “got the big phony tits and everything.”

So by the time Trump’s skit rolled around in 2000, Giuliani’s antics were old news—the Times didn’t even bother reporting on Trump pretending to assault the bewigged mayor.
But the Daily News did:
Trump was among the celebrities making guest appearances in the parody film by Giuliani’s campaign commercial-maker, Adam Goodman. … New York Yankees owner George Steinbrenner and actor Danny Aiello also appeared.
“What’s wrong with that guy?” became a refrain as the mayor, clad in various costumes, moved about the city-a takeoff on his growing public image and political portrayals of him as vindictive. ….
Some guests visibly squirmed as Giuliani, dressed in drag as the Marilyn Monroe-like “Rudia” that he first played in the 1997 show, encountered Trump at a …store ….
Also seated in the uncomfortable audience was Hillary Clinton, dressed in “a gorgeous black gown with velvet cuffs like something out of ‘Zorro,’” fastened by golf-ball-sized cuff links covered with what I figured were rhinestones.”
In the March 13 article, the Daily News reported Clinton, then a political rival of Guiliani’s, smiled through the Trump skit as well as a number of Bill Clinton jokes.
But the ultimate joke was on us…

I think it all comes down to money. And ego. But mostly, in the end, money. Yes, I do remember when he was highly respected after 9/11. Now that’s hard to believe.

I had not heard of him prior to 9/11 when he appeared to be an inspirational mayor, at least from over here. I was disturbed to hear that he had gone to work for Trump and now I’m appalled by his behaviour.

We had a Prime Minister here in Australia, much like Rudy. John Howard, got rid of the guns after a massacre, and for the longest time he was a hero for doing that. Now, however, its coming out more and more how he may have been one of Australia’s worst Prime Minister.
