FOWC with Fandango — Ponder

FOWCWelcome to October 17, 2020 and to Fandango’s One-Word Challenge (aka, FOWC). It’s designed to fill the void after WordPress bailed on its daily one-word prompt.

I will be posting each day’s word just after midnight Pacific Time (US).

Today’s word is “ponder.”

Write a post using that word. It can be prose, poetry, fiction, non-fiction. It can be any length. It can be just a picture or a drawing if you want. No holds barred, so to speak.

Once you are done, tag your post with #FOWC and create a pingback to this post if you are on WordPress. Please check to confirm that your pingback is there. If not, please manually add your link in the comments.

And be sure to read the posts of other bloggers who respond to this prompt. You will marvel at their creativity.

I ponder as I pander out in this mean world
With a man “sent by Jesus” with a flag we unfurled
For poor suff’ring people confusion has swirled
I ponder as I pander out in this mean world

(I may give to much credit for pondering to any Republican operative. But there are, I think, exceptions here and there who may re-think their lot and looming doom.)

    Here’s the real song.

If Jesus had wanted for any wee thing
A star in the sky or a bird on the wing
Or all of God’s Angels in heaven to sing
He surely could have it, ’cause he was the King

I wonder as I wander out under the sky
How Jesus the Saviour did come for to die
    For poor on’ry people like you and like I;
I wonder as I wander out under the sky
