“Sometimes there is a fierce rivalry between the desire to not waste the best part of the day, and the desire to just ignore the day.”
This was written in a post from fellow blogger Jenna at RevivedWriter on Monday in her response to my FOWC with Fandango prompt (rivalry). It really rang true for me, especially in these days when the daily Donald Trump shitshow makes me want to just stay in my comfy bed, pull the covers over my head, and hibernate until this nightmare is over.
But then I feel guilty about wasting the day, so I get up and get out of bed, hoping to make the best of whatever the day has in store for me.
I go to the kitchen, fix myself a cup of coffee, read the morning newspaper, and scan my iPhone’s newsfeed. And that’s when I realize that, for my own health and well-being, I need to go back to bed and hope that this, too, shall pass.
Written for Linda G. Hill’s One-Liner Wednesday prompt.
If there is one thing I know about life it’s that everything is temporary. Whatever it is may not be as temporary as we’d like it to be, but it will pass. Eventually. One way or another.

All I can say is ditto! Especially today when it seems T has finally lost what little brain he has. All of this dancing around should make his supporters worry he is not fit for any job, much less being president.
