I don’t know how much more of this I can take
The constant buzzing
It’s incessant
Twenty-four by seven
Day in
Day out
This place is like a hive
And I’m a worker bee
A drone
Living in a cell
Inside a honeycomb
There’s no escape
I’ll climb to the top
Above the din
Where the sun shines
Where the breezes blow
Where I can see the horizon
I’ll look around
And see what could be
I’ll look down
And see what is
And then I’ll decide
To take flight
To free fall
Either way
I’ll be set free

I can’t even imagine living so close to so many strangers. I think I would take flight, hopefully not to free fall. 🙂

Luckily all the apartments I have lived in were nothing like that. Just upstairs neighbors can be loud, that would be insane! Once again, proof you can write good poems!
