Lyn Crain was nominated for the Vincent Ehindero Blogger Award and has graciously paid it forward to me. I am honored to know that Lyn thinks that highly of my blog that she would nominate it.
But I also don’t play by the rules associated with blog awards, which include things like thanking the person who nominated me, posting the photo of the award logo, posting the rules, asking 5-10 questions of my choice, and nominating 10-30 other bloggers. I will thank the person who nominated me — thank you Lyn — and I did include a photo of the logo at the top of this post. And I suppose I just posted the rules. I will also answer Lyn’s questions, but I will not nominate 10-30 other bloggers. I will, in fact, nominate any and all bloggers who wish to answer Lyn’s questions.
So here goes.
What genre is your favorite?
Genre of what? Books, movies, TV shows, music? Well, for books I like mysteries, detective stories, suspense novels, and science fiction/fantasy. For movies, it’s dramas or comedies. My favorite genre for TV shows, at least recently, is foreign detective shows on Netflix. For music it’s classic rock all the way.
If you could be a character in any story which one would it be?
Hmm. I guess it might depend upon genre, but one of my favorite TV detectives was Jim Rockford from “The Rockford Files.” He was an easy-going, wisecracking private detective who lived in Malibu, CA and drove a classic Pontiac Firebird. Now that’s living the life, right?
Are you veggie lover or a fruit lover?
I am rather picky about vegetables, so if it becomes a choice between one or the other, I’d go with fruit. That said, I prefer meat, poultry, or fish to both fruits and veggies.
What era of music is your favorite and why?
I’m apparently stuck in the classic rock genre, specifically the late 60s through the early 80s. Why? Well, because it rocks!
If you change one thing in the world, what would it be?
Donald Trump would not be the president of the United States. Nor, in the future, would any of his twisted offspring.
Why did you begin blogging?
Because I enjoy writing and I enjoy interaction with others. Blogging filled both of those enjoyments.
What makes you laugh?
Funny things. Duh!
So, who else wants to answers these questions?
Didn’t you already win one of these awards before?

Yes. Twice before, I think.

I can’t remember if I’ve seen it on WP or when I did Blogger, but there was a badge bloggers could pin on their blogs expressly rejecting these awards. They were kind of regarded as blogger’s spam.

I pretty much feel the same way about awards. That said, I do a appreciate it when someone recognizes my blog and I enjoy answering questions. I just won’t nominate specific bloggers or follow most of the other “rules.”

Woohoo, NO TRUMPS!
I hadn’t thought about the awards as spam. My intent was never to be one. I do truly enjoy your blog and the prompts that you generously provide. ❤ Lyn
