Who Won The Week? 08/09/2020

10CC3057-4EEA-4C80-B8C1-700C0FC6C906It’s time for another Who Won the Week prompt. The idea behind Who Won the Week is for you to select who (or what) you think “won” this past week. Your selection can be anyone or anything — politicians, celebrities, athletes, authors, bloggers, your friends or family members, books, movies, TV shows, businesses, organizations, whatever.

I will be posting this prompt on Sunday mornings (my time). If you want to participate, write your own post designating who you think won the week and why you think they deserve your nod. Then link back to this post and tag you post with FWWTW.

This week I am designating Jonathan Swan, an Australian journalist who works as a political reporter for Axios, as the winner of Who Won the Week. This past week “Axios on HBO” aired Swan’s interview with Donald Trump. It was eye opening.

Whether you’re a Trump fan or a Trump foe, you should watch this interview. Here’s the whole thing. It’s truly a remarkable thing to behold.

If you don’t have 37 minutes to spare today, here are just a few of the “highlights.”

Congratulations to Jonathan Swan for showing us who the real Donald Trump is…and isn’t.

Now it’s your turn, folks. Who (or what) do you think won the week?

The sad thing is that this interviewer should be the standard, not the exception. It seems like whenever the media has the opportunity to challenge his assertions to his face they either fail to follow-through or drop the ball completely.

I agree. It’s amazing the shit they let him say and get away with it unchallenged.

He was great, including his almost grandiose welcoming of Donald Trump into the room and toward his reserved seat.

That was a bizarre interview. Trump was trying so hard to appear to be rational and it all backfired.

Trump is incapable of rational thinking.

It’s about time a journalist didn’t let him get away with all the shit he spews.

the cheeto’s comments about testing just infuriate me. I was tested after being exposed during my hospitalization. It was a ‘fast test”..and i had to wait three weeks for the results. ‘you tst, we get cases”. WHAT an f’ing FOOL! grrrrrrrrrrrr

A second one of my sons had covid-19 just recently. He got a test and was told he’d likely have to wait about a week for the result. Oddly, in the mean time, the website for displaying the result to him said “negative.” So… he thought his result had come back quickly and that he only had a flu or something like that. He felt bad enough that he didn’t go out and rationalize it was only a cold or allergies. However, he was getting ready to go out, one day as he was feeling better (just a week or so in), and he decided to double check the site. Now it said “positive.”
