Do you need a muse to get your creative juices flowing during these hot, sultry days of August? Try a dose of Fandango’s Dog Days of August prompt.
At 6:00 am Pacific time each day this month, I will be posting a new theme. Today’s theme is “trip.” You can post about a business trip, a vacation, a journey of self discovery, a field trip, a drug-induced trip, a trip down memory lane. That’s up to you. It can be a story, a poem, a photo, a drawing, some music, whatever.
If you wish to participate, please write your post, use the tag #FDDA, and create a pingback to this post or manually add your link in the comments.
And, of course, take some time to read the other responses to this prompt. See how other bloggers are coping with the dog days of August.
When I clicked like to use the url, it said could not be found. Hope this gets to you.

Not sure I can commit to every day of August, but I will chime in as I’m able to.

Other than the grocery store every 8-10 days, not many trips for me these days, but below is the link to one of my favourite trips from last year:

And speaking of trip down memory lane, remember when we thought 2019 was a bad year, and we could not wait for “perfect vision 2020”?

I remember your Mexico City trip post! And I also remember hoping that 2017 would be better than 2016 and that 2018 better than 2017 and that 2019 better than…well, you get my drift, right?

Query for you: I published a new post 13 minutes ago—12:30 pm your time. Once again, it’s not showing on my Reader. Can you tell me if you see it on yours—and if so, when? Last week, when this happened on Saturday, WP insisted via subsequent email that it had gone up—but that was 20 hrs later!

Sorry that I’m just getting around to responding but I was tied up for much of the day. I just checked and did NOT see your post in my reader.

Thank you! That is very helpful info for me to give the HEs, who will insist that it’s there even though invisible!

I hope they can get to the bottom of it.

I recently shared with one of my sons that I think I would like to take a trip to Sri Lanka some day. He recommended that I not do it. (The next time I saw him he spoke of going hunting. Soooo… ew.) I know there was a terrorist attack there not very long ago. But the beaches look beautiful.
I think the link for imagining going there came up because I’d been looking at Croatia. What kind of weirdo looks at beach studios or country houses in Croatia? I haven’t even been to France. Well, someone had played video of a cellist on a big tv downstairs. I figured out his setting was Croatia.
Hauser in Dubrovnik
I looked up forts in Croatia. There’s
a lot about defending against
Turks or the Ottomans.

The sisters’ blissful reunion was on June 27, and since then, they’ve continued to build their bond, with Boro even introducing Crippen to four more of their siblings — with whom she’d connected through Facebook — virtually, according to the Post.
…
“It’s wonderful,” Crippen told KETV. “And in the end, we don’t have to search anymore. The journey’s over.”

That song, by those two, is about as nostalgic as it gets. Hands down.
I enjoyed your writing on the topic, too, but won’t say more and give it away.

I don’t think I’ve taken enough vacations to commit to every day, unless you count 9 years in Israel as a VERY long vacation. Anyway, it’s up tomorrow. Maybe i’ll get to reuse all those great Arizona pictures.
