I went online
Ordered two pairs of jeans
Same brand
Same style
Same cut
Same material
Same waist size
Same inseam size
Jeans were delivered
Tried them both on
One fit perfectly
The other one didn’t
I double checked
Yep, same size
But they don’t fit
The same way
WTF? 😡
I thought size matters
But maybe not so much.
Human error perhaps!

Haha. I think size is relative. I mean, I’ve heard a size 14 from 30 years ago wouldn’t fit a current size 14. This expereince you describe is different though.

Yes, both jeans were supposedly the exact same size. 😡

It’s irritating, even if the return is free, to need to hassle with it.

I’ve experienced something similar. I hope that they accept returns.

It’s Amazon. They should.

They probably only had one pair in your size, so stitched in another ‘label’ of the same size to a smaller/larger pair to fulfil your order.

That’s deceitful and a waste because I’m going to have to return the jeans that don’t fit.

What is even more deceitful is people who order something, wear it, and then send it back! I ordered a blouse years ago and when it arrived, it had sweat stains under the armpits. Ladies sizes are always hit and miss, even the same style, size, material as your jeans description. I have no idea what size I am, but if I saw something, liked it, tried it on and it fitted, I’d usually buy it. I don’t do that now, and haven’t done so since looking for a posh frock for my niece’s wedding three years ago.

That’s rude to return something worn and unethical for the retailer to send it to you as new.

It was quite a common practice way back in the 80s. My sister picked up her wedding dress the day before her wedding and it was dirty because someone had worn it. They paid for it to be cleaned, but it wasn’t the same. Sadly the marriage failed anyway.

Probably someone made a mistake in labelling.

It’s the context in which one is worrying about size that causes the issue IMHO. In pants – meh. It’s a pain in the ass to return the defective pair, sure, but in the grand scheme of things it’s not a big deal really. If one is talking about size mattering in the the amount of hot air one might express or the size of that same person’s ego? BIG DEAL indeed. We won’t even touch on the one area in which it’s presumed size is an important factor. Me? I always held to the belief that it was the motion in the ocean and not the size of the wave that made the difference… 😆

It’s not the size of the wand, it’s the magic behind it! 😱

Clothes sizes are confusing.

Definitely true about women’s clothing sizes.

Did one say new and improved fit? That is quite puzzling!

Yeah, it pisses me off that I have to return them.

I think that is the mystery of shopping for clothes. It is one of those things that drive you nuts, wasted your time, and make absolutely no sense….arghhh
