Blogging Insights —Impact of COVID-19

Blogging insightsIn her latest installment of Blogging Insights, Dr. Tanya wants to know how this coronavirus crisis has affected our blogging/writing.

1. How has the Coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic affected your blogging? Are you posting more or less than you used to?

I don’t believe this whole pandemic has materially changed my blogging much at all. I’m still posting 3-4 times a day, although I’m responding to fewer prompts than I used to, but it’s been that way since preparing for my move back in early January. I’ve had less blogging time on my hands while we were settling into our new home and I haven’t yet gotten back into participating in all of the daily prompts like I used to before the move. And that has nothing to with the pandemic.

2. What is the tone of your posts these days: happy, sad, serious, worried?

3. Have you written any posts specifically about the crisis and its effect on your life? If so, please share a link?

Quite a few, actually. For example, here’s last week’s Provocative Question post.

4. What kinds of posts do you like to read these days?

No different than the kinds of posts I liked to read in the Before Times: well-written, engaging, informative, and witty.

Also includes today’s WordPress Discover Prompt, “hands.”

I’ve seen a rise in posts from many bloggers. I guess not they are home so have more time to devote to blogging

I just remembered I started a post on your #FPQ last week. Working seven days a week is making me forget what I have started.

I have seen a couple bloggers return to Word Press, but not really a lot more posts being made. I am still doing about what I normally do.
