Political Rallies Über Alles

66433C55-4F23-44F2-BB64-740C1082164CWhatever happened to the notion of leading by example?

Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden have chosen to ignore calls from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to cancel rallies and other large events because of coronavirus fears. The CDC has been absolutely clear that people should avoid congregating in large groups.

Donald Trump isn’t slowing his pace, either, even though he — like Sanders and Biden — is in his 70s, which is a high-risk group for “getting very sick from this illness,” according to the CDC. There are now more than 600 confirmed coronavirus cases and 22 deaths in the U.S. And many of those who have died are in the same age range as the three finalists in the presidential campaign.

Seriously, guys, what are you thinking?

It’s all about the vote. I wonder of T will get it since apparently his people have been exposed. Some reports say it takes three weeks to show up.

He’s in a risk group – over 70 – and he’s probably not as healthy as he claims. I know it is wrong to think this way, but …. it could be a way to get rid of him.

Is it wrong of me to hope that he does get it?

It apparently doesn’t even take a rally — Trump has been exposed by 5 close staff people who are now in quarantine. I guess that’s one way to get him out office!

Fine with me if they all get sick and we have younger candidates all around!

Except the younger ones have all dropped out. The only two left standing are the “two old white guys,” as Bernie Sanders said.

I think Tulsi hasn’t yet dropped out… wouldn’t that be an unexpected outcome? However, I think they can do about anything after the “first vote” at the convention.

The next debate — which will be with CNN — isn’t going to have an audience. I’m glad they’re being careful.

Well, at least they canceled tonight’s debate because the governor asked them. They should have done it without being asked. That our president is a moron we already know. We don’t need more morons.

How about we stop all traffic in and out of the USA until Covid fizzles? If we want to take it seriously drastic measures must be taken.

Tonight King Joffrey inexplicably banned travel to the US from Europe, except for UK (for some reason), but it’s still okay from other countries, including South Korea! The NBA has suspended the rest of the season and Tom Hanks and his wife, Rita Wilson have tested positive for the virus in Australia! The virus is in the US already. I’m not sure that a travel band is the answer.

Joffrey makes no sense, par for the course. The time to ban travel was in the beginning. Now that it’s here… This is crazy! Who knows how far it will go.

I am actually surprised by the number of posts on Facebook where people say it is no big deal… they are convinced it is nothing to worry about. When they lose all of their senior family members and those with health concerns then we’ll see what they have to say.

Those who say it’s no big deal are watching too much Fox News.
