Rory Wants to Know

B82DA7F6-6AB5-4211-96C5-C4B24CCFD93AIn his post today, which is essentially about time management related to, among other things, blogging, Rory, aka A Guy Called Bloke, asked two interesting questions.

What do you consider the right time to publish a post for greater readership impact and viewing?

I typically don’t give much thought to the timing of my posts. My prompts are scheduled in advance, with my daily FOWC with Fandango word challenges posted just after midnight Pacific time each night. My other prompts are typically scheduled to post at 3 am my time. But all other posts are published whenever I get around to it based upon whatever else I’ve got going on in my life on any particular day.

Do you ever give consideration to other Global Time Zones when you are planning on post dating a published article?

What? Are you saying that there are other time zones around the world that I should be cognizant of? That’s crazy talk.

I publish things when i think of them. I publish around midnight because i can see those first two posts before i go to bed. But i’ve been crashing earlier, so it has become a moot point. i’ve given up worrying about time zones, stats, etc. i’m just glad when i have an idea that’s worth writing about.
