“Some people just rub me the wrong way,” Detective Ron Hayden said to his partner.
“Some people?” Detective Fred Morrisey asked. “Can you be more specific?”
“You know how, when you collar some real low-life and this supposedly tough guy starts to howl and cry?” Hayden said. “Well, these guys behave like such wimps once they get caught and that kinda pisses me off.
“So are you saying you want these perps to fight back harder and to make our lives as cops more difficult?” Morrisey asked.
“Nah,” said Hayden. “But there’s a certain mythology around being able to nab the bad guys and it seems these so called hardened criminals just don’t live up to the myth” anymore.
