I Ain’t Dead Yet

I know I’ve been rather absent from WordPress lately, but one week from today is move day and I’ve still got a shitload to do before the movers show up at my door.

But my purpose for this post is not to whine about how much I need to do before next Tuesday. It’s more to announce that I beat the clock. The Death Clock, that is.9EE3944F-DF19-405C-9303-390EDF2E85D2For those of you who have been reading my blog for a while, you may remember this post from November 2017. I had heard about sites on the internet that would give you a personalized projected date of death. One site claimed I was already dead, another said that today was my expiration date. I’m not already dead and I’m pleased to say that, while today is not yet over, it looks like today is not a good day for me to die.

The third site I visited gave me until May 14, 2030. So yay, I ain’t dead yet and I’ve got another whole decade ahead of me! That assumes, of course, that I’m going to survive this move next week.

I know, but this is one case where reaching the destination is a helluva lot better than the journey.

Now that’s just creepy – and I am reminded of that Monty Python movie…
Best of luck finishing up the move. It can be a nightmare.

Why the hell would you undertake (near pun) such a research project?

Glad you’re still with us, and that you’ll just keep moving!

First, good “near” pun. Second, good question. I guess I was bored when I did it.

Second thought was also “punny” based on what you escaped and what you’re involved in…

Who’s crazier, the person who thought it up, or me for being suckered into playing?

They are. It’s hard not to be curious, but it’s a bit like probing a sore tooth with your tongue. You gotta be sorry afterwards..Still you must!!

Congratulations of surviving the 28th! Now survive the move and it will be clear sailing for ten more years! I have heard of retirement clocks to countdown days, hours and minutes but never a death clock. I don’t think I would want to “know.”

I don’t think these countdown to death clocks know either.
