I Ain’t Dead Yet

I know I’ve been rather absent from WordPress lately, but one week from today is move day and I’ve still got a shitload to do before the movers show up at my door.

But my purpose for this post is not to whine about how much I need to do before next Tuesday. It’s more to announce that I beat the clock. The Death Clock, that is.9EE3944F-DF19-405C-9303-390EDF2E85D2For those of you who have been reading my blog for a while, you may remember this post from November 2017. I had heard about sites on the internet that would give you a personalized projected date of death. One site claimed I was already dead, another said that today was my expiration date. I’m not already dead and I’m pleased to say that, while today is not yet over, it looks like today is not a good day for me to die.

The third site I visited gave me until May 14, 2030. So yay, I ain’t dead yet and I’ve got another whole decade ahead of me! That assumes, of course, that I’m going to survive this move next week.

FOWC with Fandango — Subtle

FOWCWelcome to January 28, 2020 and to Fandango’s One-Word Challenge (aka, FOWC). It’s designed to fill the void after WordPress bailed on its daily one-word prompt.

I will be posting each day’s word just after midnight Pacific Time (US).

Today’s word is “subtle.”

Write a post using that word. It can be prose, poetry, fiction, non-fiction. It can be any length. It can be just a picture or a drawing if you want. No holds barred, so to speak.

Once you are done, tag your post with #FOWC and create a pingback to this post if you are on WordPress. Or you can simply include a link to your post in the comments.

The issue with pingbacks not showing up seems to have been resolved, but you might check to confirm that your pingback is there. If not, please manually add your link in the comments.

And be sure to read the posts of other bloggers who respond to this prompt. You will marvel at their creativity.
