It’s a brand new year and it’s time for new beginnings. I need to change my whole outlook on life. I need to stop being so vulnerable. I have to cease being such a lollygag. I must try a novel approach that will enable me to ascend to new heights in this coming year.
This is my resolution for 2020.
(60 words)
Written for Sammi Cox’s Weekend Writing Prompt, where we are challenged to write a poem or piece of prose using the word “lollygag” in exactly 60 words. Also for these daily prompts: Ragtag Daily Prompt (new beginnings), Daily Addictions (stop), Fandango’s One-Word Challenge (vulnerable), The Daily Spur (novel), Your Daily Word Prompt (ascend), and Word of the Day Challenge (resolution).
Lollygag? Must be another of those American words that doesn’t exist here in the UK… 🙂

It means wasting time, being aimless. Very American! 😉

It’s really not about me. Just a piece of flash fiction to fit the prompts. But yes, I wish we septuagenarians could all be more healthy.
