FOWC with Fandango — Live

FOWCWelcome to December 10, 2019 and to Fandango’s One-Word Challenge (aka, FOWC). It’s designed to fill the void after WordPress bailed on its daily one-word prompt.

I will be posting each day’s word just after midnight Pacific Time (US).

Today’s word is “live.”

Write a post using that word. It can be prose, poetry, fiction, non-fiction. It can be any length. It can be just a picture or a drawing if you want. No holds barred, so to speak.

Once you are done, tag your post with #FOWC and create a pingback to this post if you are on WordPress. Or you can simply include a link to your post in the comments.

The issue with pingbacks not showing up seems to have been resolved, but you might check to confirm that your pingback is there. If not, please manually add your link in the comments.

And be sure to read the posts of other bloggers who respond to this prompt. You will marvel at their creativity.

I thought I was going to be able to use the boldface words [emphasis added] in the description below of the author, Zack, but then I saw and was reminded… “life” is not “live.”

Zack Friedman is the bestselling author of the blockbuster book, The Lemonade Life: How To Fuel Success, Create Happiness, and Conquer Anything. Apple named The Lemonade Life one of “Fall’s Biggest Audiobooks” and a “Must-Listen.” Zack is the founder and chief executive officer of Make Lemonade, a leading personal finance company that empowers you to live a better financial life. He is an in-demand speaker and has inspired millions through his powerful insights. Previously, he was chief financial officer of an international energy company, a hedge fund investor, and worked at Blackstone, Morgan Stanley, and the White House. …

Scroll down through this timeline to see what Betsy DeVos has done as education secretary. Each moment shows how she’s been a disastrous choice…

The Education Department { [and] Betsy DeVos Held In Contempt For [the fact she] } improperly tried collecting on loans to former students defrauded by the defunct for-profit chain Corinthian Colleges.

I still have a way to bring in the word “live” — it was actually my first thought…

A band called Live (long I sound), singing “i alone.”

Donald Trump was winking at this
      song when he, multiple times,
campaigned, “I alone can fix it.” He hesitated,
most times, to make sure in his head that he was saying
it the way he wanted to — I alone — not “Only I.” It’s in a category, to me,
of his sing-songing the story of a snake and a “silly woman” who
let him in and, most recently, the way he also read his
      magic marker writing: I want nothing;
I want nothing; I want no pro quo.
