Abuse of Power

Trump bubble Is the Trump bubble in jeopardy of bursting? A lot of questionable conduct and even illegal actions have been ascribed to him, and it looks as if there are some cracks appearing in the wall that members of the political right have built around him to excuse and protect him.

As I look ahead toward the the political horizon, I have the urge to scream at those who still buy into his lies and who continue to stick their heads in the sand and ignore his blatantly impeachable actions.

The House Democrats are preparing articles of impeachment under the banner of Abuse of Power, a sound strategy that has a good chance, even with the Republican majority in the Senate, to lead to Trump’s removal from office.

And wouldn’t that be brilliant?

Pence is right in the middle of this.

He is, because he’s actually got a couple of brain cells firing up there in his skull instead of just cobwebs and skid marks. He presents as controlled, where Cheeto Hitler flails around foaming at the mouth. One of the better descriptions I’ve read of Pence is “the gentleman serial killer.” He is Dr. Jekyll to Lord Dampnut’s Hyde.

If they decide to proceed and fail to remove him from office, it will nearly guarantee his re-election.

The scary thing is that since becoming president, I doubt his behaviour has changed one bit. It wouldn’t surprise me if every billionaire has resorted to this kind of practiseat some point to get to where they are.

I know there are procedures and all, but I can’t be the only one thinking: “stop yer damn stalling and get to it already!” Ugh!

I still wont get my hope up. If Pence is “promoted” it could be worse. I like rugby’s idea of a “twofer”… time will tell.
