She dutifully answered the questions posed to her by the bloggers who nominated her. But when it came to nominating other bloggers for the award, Di wrote, “As I’ve skipped the nominations part, would anyone like to answer my five questions?”

Hey, I’m someone who would like to answer Di’s five questions. So here goes:

1.  How would you describe your perfect partner in 30 words or less.

I truly believe there is no such thing as the “perfect partner.” That said, I think having a partner who always has your back comes pretty damn close to perfection.

2.  What’s your favorite Bond movie and why?

I’ve always been partial to “Goldfinger.” Even though it was the third Bond movie, it was the first one I saw. And Sean Connery was, in my opinion, the best “Bond, James Bond.”

3. Would you take a bath in something like baked beans or spaghetti for charity?

Nope. As I answered for question five below, I don’t  even take baths in water!

4. How many pairs of blue socks do you own?

None. Most of my socks are white sweat socks. I still have a few pairs of black socks from before I retired that I haven’t worn in almost three years, but I keep them, along with one pair of black dress shoes “just in case.”

5. Do you prefer a bath or shower?

I honestly can’t remember the last time I took a bath. So it’s definitely a shower.

On that last one, we are told that taking a shower uses less water than a bath. (In that way, we like to think we’re environmentally-aware here). But if you dig, an average shower still takes up something like 3/4 of an average bath, so still quite high.

I hadn’t had a bath for years either, so for my 60th birthday (and our silver wedding anniversary) we had a night in a hotel which had a huge bath and made the most of it (the rubber duck was blindfolded) with some bubble bath I was given as a gift. Bubbles went EVERYWHERE! Total bliss.

i would prefer a bath…with just-hot-enough water up to my chin, a few muscled hunks wearing skimpy clothes waving palm fronds over me to cool me and a couple of well-muscled manly-men leaning over feeding me grapes or chocolates……….yea baby.

I loved Sean as Bond, in any role I have seen him in actually. And if they made tubs a little bit bigger (in apartments they are so tiny!) I might indulge in a bath on occasion, but with long hair it is much easier to wash it in a shower. Good answers Fandango!
