100WW — The Siren’s Song

F69C3D62-3099-425D-89C7-2B17E3960BAEIt was enigmatic to hear the sound of a saxophone emanating from deep inside the forest. As if hearing a siren’s song, I was inexplicably drawn to the sound.

I slowly made my way to the source of the music and saw a solitary man in a clearing, staring into the distance, playing the saxophone. He either didn’t notice me or chose to ignore me. He just continued to play.

I walked up to him and tapped his arm. He stopped playing, looked at me, and said, “I am your last resort.”

I was filled with fear. It was surreal.
